Kota Jamdani style of weaving is something unique and fusion of both Jamdani style and Kota style. Jamdani is a discontinuous weft weaving technique and is the practise of delicate "Parsi Gara" on a loom. By manually weaving a denser thread into the delicate warp threads in Jamdani, designs are inlaid into the cloth. This method is regarded as one of the most advanced and intensive weaving processes in the world. Colour- Shining Yellow
Similar to tapestry technique, jamdani weaving involves weaving the weft via tiny shuttles of coloured, gold, or silver threads. Designs include "jhalar," "tercha," and "butidar," which include flowery patterns scattered across the entire sari (a network of floral motifs).
Muslin, the finest fabric ever woven by human hands, served as the original foundation for the Jamdani technique. Its ancestry can be traced back to a number of ethereal Indian muslin fabrics that were lost when the former East India Company started to systematically destroy India's textile industry in the late 18th century.
